We started by choosing a library within the group to make 2 examples each by the end. We decided on using Pop Motion as the library we were going to explore. Pop motion is an animation library and I explored using Every Frame, Inertia and Tween.

I started by making a wave type of animation where I used the Every frame and Inertia that are found on the Pop Motion website. Peter liked the idea but It was still missing a real use. This was a pivotal part of the examples which I didn’t know that it should have a real use when I showed it to him. I decided to use this as a building block to make something more useful that could be used in different situations.

My second example explores another way to animate the done/submit animation where a by the help of tween of two parts of a check mark merge together when the submit button us pressed which you can see above. This was an idea of making a submit button more satisfying in the end when you are done since there aren’t that many that I have seen that give you a great feedback on completion or maybe a better user experience as such.

For my final example that can be seen above. My example uses inertia and  the Every frame animation from the library as the base. My example explores another way to show responses to different questions through having a slider adjust the expression of a face linking to how a person perceives a question. It was an attempt to visualize the idea of surveying people through a numbered ranking. This could be implemented in any kind of survey that would otherwise use a numbered system to collect data about how people feel about a subject . In this example the subject would be the weekend.

I learnt to really search for shortcuts such as using something called SVG since for the submit button example for the two parts of the check which made it a much easier process to make the example than the survey one since that one was more experimenting with codes to eventually making what I needed. This can relate to what do prototypes prototype where “Prototyping is key means with which an individual\s imagination is tenaciously explored, tested, broken and rebuilt” (Valentine, 2013) which would definitely describe this project through trying to make my ideas work and explore ways to make them how I envisioned them to look and work like in essence.
