During coaching we discussed constraints and challenging, how can we have some sort of non-challenging constraint although we have had thought of it becoming a guider to a movement that could be deemed challenging.
It feels like it’s more of a controller at the moment as we haven’t pulled the different aspect together but by having the audio sample of a crying baby it becomes more of a set goal of the interaction which is to stop the uncomfort which is something that can built on by thinking along those lines.
We decided to move from it being a right or wrong kind of movement but there is still constraint on how it is experienced as they are one of the
We are moving more from this controller kind of feeling and I believe once we put them together then it would start feeling of constraint and implicit motivation.
The different constraints that we identified are audio, physical, social, and spatial. In the final example we are using audio and physical as our main area that we are using as we were told on Friday to focus more on one or two constraints than touching on a couple more.
We worked on having 3 different dimensions used within a sketch where one would be guided through the sound to follow the panner position which changes based on the position of the sound, when the desired place is reached the sound will balance coming through both ears on the headphone. The volume also higher the lower you get vertically. Horizontally movement changes the playback rate of the audio. The audio only starts playing once both wrists are held together. This interaction needs headphones and we are unsure at the moment how he will show it to others. The videos below show the interaction that we ended up with.
